Divorce Care is a 15 week support group, held U.S. wide in locations near you, where participants spend time discussing the different aspects of divorce. Each week the group starts with watching a video and then discusses what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members. A weekly homework assignment is given for students to do individually.
This is a great way to process through the things we try to ignore, or shove in the back of our minds, never to deal with again. The problem is, those things we push to the back of our minds typically have a painful or embarrassing way of resurfacing. Giving yourself the time and space to sort through it, in a safe environment with others who can relate, is a wise choice for both you and your children. If you will take better care of yourself, you’ll be a better mother, friend and co-worker to those around you.
